Christine Chow

2008 Dedication Award - Toronto

Mid-Toronto Community Services

Nominator Comments:

Christine always treats everyone with respect and dignity. In Christine’s new role as Director of Operations, she is responsible for all agency programs. Since being promoted into this role earlier this year, she has had a very positive effect on the agency. She has provided opportunities for staff to grow and develop in new positions. Also, in collaboration with the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT), Christine has developed the Meet & Eat and Good Company lunch programs for persons living with HIV/AIDS. More recently, she worked with ACT to develop a groundbreaking program for people living with HIV and dementia.

To quote her nominators, “Christine is excellent at working with others; she is diplomatic, proactive and a clear communicator. She is skilled at ensuring all voices are heard while at the same time ensuring that the project or program moves ahead. When a difficulty arises, she is not afraid to deal with it directly and always manages to find a resolution. Christine’s unwavering dedication has made our HIV/AIDS partnership programs the success that they are today.”
