As the Coordinator of The Corner Drop-In serves at The Neighbourhood Group Community Services , Jules works tirelessly to service and maintain supports for the most vulnerable community, those who are homeless, facing mental health and substance use challenges, living in deep poverty and coping with various forms of marginalization at a time when many services were closing due to COVID.
Jules is able to create and maintain trusting and supportive relationships with people coming to the Drop-In, always approaching people with a kind and open heart. She works collaboratively across sectors ,external service providers and stakeholders in the community (police, local places of worship, churches, business, and residents/neighbours), with the goal of ensuring the highest quality programming and supports possible for our participants and to the benefit of our partners and neighbours in the community. Always willing to jump into another role and go above and beyond her job expectations, Jules partners effectively with the drop-in client support committee, a client – staff committee, that collaborates with her to ensure everyone have an active say in the services offered. The most positive impact of Jules is her tireless commitment to ensuring hundreds of vulnerable people living on the street in the challenging period of COVID received food, clothing , water, hygiene products and they felt cared for!
