Khaleda Banu is the heart of Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House. Khaleda first came to work at Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House 26 years ago. She has been an inspiration to all of us in our efforts to grow, to learn and to create a welcoming, inclusive and supportive place for everyone.
Participants, staff and volunteers endear to Khaleda because of her commitment to the values and goals of Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House. She demonstrates unwavering commitment to our mission and she is not afraid to challenge practices and behaviours that prove contrary to our efforts. She will speak out again discrimination, she will engage and connect people to each other and she always welcomes everyone into our organization.
