College-Montrose Children's Place
Melanie has been with College-Montrose Children’s Place for more than 10 years, running programs for families with children 0 to 6 years of age. Her drive and determination, coupled with her sensitivity and integrity, give her the extraordinary ability to relate to all families that visit the centre. She takes initiative in supporting diversity and encourages staff to do the same. Melanie has also been instrumental in opening doors to same-sex families, increasing the diversity of our community at College-Montrose Children’s Place. Melanie’s special gift is her creativity, always finding different ways to engage our community – both young and old.
To quote her nominators, “Melanie’s qualities are unlimited. Her leadership is a great example of creativity and community building. Not only is she a great program staff, but she is also a magnificent person with amazing skills that she shares with others.”
