Paul McCormack

2008 Dedication Award - Toronto

Delisle Youth Services

Nominator Comments:

Paul is the manager for the Special Needs Team at Delisle Youth Services. They act as a central access point to residential services for all Toronto children and youth with highly complex needs, enabling them to stay “part of the family”. Paul helped to develop the Care for the Caregiver Program that helps to address areas of client and family need not covered under current funding. This helps to eliminate any gaps in service. Paul lets every client and their family know they are ‘special’ and that Delisle cares.

To quote his nominators, “Paul is an exceptional man, someone who has always taken the time for his co-workers to brainstorm for a solution to challenges and problems, regardless of their position held at the agency. Paul never takes the glory, he always shares the ‘stage’ and makes sure no one has been left out. He is highly respected by the funders, the families, his staff, his co-workers, and the network of agencies he is in daily contact with. Paul is devoted to his family, his profession, and himself.”
