At the heart of Regent Park Sewing Studio (RPSS), Shahrzad and Sarah have transformed the space into a vibrant hub of community, creativity, and skill-building. Their leadership goes beyond teaching—through mentorship, they empower every team member to contribute meaningfully, creating a supportive environment where learning and growth thrive. In 2024, RPSS saw the graduation of 100 students across two levels, with a new advanced curriculum in the works and a diverse range of new hires and corporate clients. Shahrzad and Sarah’s dedication to sustainability is seen in their collaboration with DESIGNwith, where graduates take on waste-free production roles, and in the annual Regent Park Fashion Show, where cultural pride and sustainable fashion merge. Participants share their gratitude, describing how the programs have not only sparked new passions but also connected them with like-minded individuals. Through their efforts, Shahrzad and Sarah have not only elevated the Studio’s success but also created a lasting impact on the community—showing how empowerment, collaboration, and sustainability can lead to remarkable transformation.
