Tina Riley

2024 Invisible Champion Award - Nova Scotia/Halifax

Operations Director

Alice House

Nominator Comments:

Tina is the longest serving employee with Alice House at 22 years. She has been an exceptional support and friend to many colleagues, clients, board members, and partners over those years. Through organizational changes, the pandemic and everything else that has come along, Tina has ensured that Alice House runs smoothly and never forgets the mandate to support women and children who are survivors of domestic violence. She is the institutional memory of the organization and a familiar face to many. Often as the only operations role in the organization, Tina provided exceptional dedication to the team and the cause. She makes herself available when needed, will stop what she’s doing to lend an ear and has put in many hours above and beyond to ensure everything gets done. Tina is also fiercely loyal and a protector of her team and Alice House clients. One of the most impressive pieces about Tina is her ability to hold a perspective and still entertain other perspectives, embrace change and support opportunities for advancement – over her 22 years she has demonstrated a remarkable amount of resilience and adaptability.
